Data security
How BillingEngine handles your data
A direct summary for security, procurement and investment teams. It describes the product as it operates today and does not claim certifications or controls we cannot substantiate.
Data we store
We store account details, the operational and economic inputs in your saved assessments, calculated results, evidence labels, limited usage events and payment references. We do not store card details. Stripe processes card payments.
Hosting and location
Account and assessment data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure. We do not claim that data remains in a particular country or region. Contact us before purchase if your procurement policy requires a specific residency commitment.
Access control
Saved cases are tied to the signed-in account. Database access rules restrict each user to their own assessments, results and entitlements. Administrative access is limited to people who need it to operate and support the service.
Calculations and AI models
All cost, impact, payback, scenario, sensitivity and projection figures use deterministic arithmetic. Assessment inputs are not sent to a large language model and are not used to train AI models.
Payments and service providers
Lovable provides application hosting, Supabase provides account authentication and database storage, and Stripe processes payments and issues payment records. These providers process only the data needed for their role. BillingEngine does not sell assessment or account data to advertisers.
Reports
Printable reports are rendered in your browser. BillingEngine does not send assessment data to a separate PDF-generation provider. A PDF you save is controlled by you and your organisation.
Retention, access and deletion
We retain account and saved assessment data while the account is active and retain records where the law requires it. Email hello@billingengine.tech to request access, export, correction or deletion. We respond to rights requests within 30 days.
Encryption and assurance
Connections use HTTPS encryption in transit. Storage controls are provided by our managed service providers; BillingEngine does not claim a specific at-rest encryption standard, certification, dedicated data region or contractual control unless agreed with you in writing.
